The movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp are the second Marvel Cinematic Universe film. It is based on the comic book written by Joe Kelly and Chris Yost. The film was directed by Peyton Reed.
The movie was released on July 6, 2020. This is the first Marvel Studios movie that was not a sequel or a prequel. This film is the second part of the series after the first Ant-Man movie. The plot revolves around Scott Lang, played by Paul Rudd, who is an expert at shrinking down into small details when he is in danger.
When the villainous Dr. Hank Pym and his team of scientists attempt to shrink himself into smaller sizes, the government sends him to fight crime as a private detective, but instead, he ends up being turned into a crime fighting superhero called Yellowjacket. The movie also stars Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Harold Perrineau, Bobby Cannavale, Keith David, Greg Ellis, and Jeff Goldblum. Ant-Man and the Wasp also star Evangeline Anderson, John Slattery, Douglas Smith, Michael Peña, and Peter Dinklage.
This movie tells us the story of how we came to be what we are. It shows us how man adapts and changes over time. In fact, this movie tells us about the evolution of man from the most primitive forms to the forms we have today.
When the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp were being made, its director, Peyton Reed, was already making the movie The Incredible Hulk with Robert Downey Jr. There were certain similarities between the two movies, in that there are superheroes, which are almost men in other words. But then, as he is a huge fan of the comic book, he kept ontrying to add more details and make it more appealing to the audience.
In the movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp, we also get to know the Wasp, played by Hope Van Dyne. Hope is a skilled physicist and there was a time she worked for Pym Technologies where she worked with Scott Lang.
The scene where the Wasp shrinks down into the wall is just one of the many scenes that really brought down the atmosphere of the movie. Of course, it would be better if she didn't shrink at all. But that's just the way it is.
Overall, the movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp is a good movie with interesting characters, which brought forth the changes in the comic. It shows us how man evolves over time and how our main character, the Wasp, was able to figure out the evolution of mankind.
